The terms for using VoltVoice

Last updated 20 October 2026

Please read these terms before you reserve or buy VoltVoice. They explain what you get, what it costs, how to cancel and what to do if something goes wrong. If you have a question, email hello@voltvoice.co.uk.

1. Who we are

VoltVoice is provided by Flying Penguin AI Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17107961), registered office Unit 5 High Hazles Road, Cotgrave, Nottingham, NG12 3GZ. In these terms "we", "us" and "our" mean Flying Penguin AI Limited, and "you" means the person reserving or subscribing.

VoltVoice is sold to consumers for use at their own home. VoltVoice is an independent product. It isn't made by, affiliated with or endorsed by Tesla or Google.

2. What VoltVoice does

VoltVoice connects your Tesla Powerwall home battery, with or without Tesla solar, to Google Home. Once it's set up you can ask a Google speaker, display or the Google Home app about your battery and solar, and use a live dashboard on your phone. Any optional add-ons, such as showing the energy report on a Nest Hub, will be described and priced separately when they're available.

VoltVoice is read-only. It can see your energy figures but it can't change your battery settings, send commands to your Tesla products or control anything in your home.

To use VoltVoice you need:

You must be 18 or over, and you must only connect a Tesla account and home system that you own or have permission to use.

3. Early access

Reserving a place is free and doesn't commit you to anything. We don't take payment details when you reserve. We'll email you when your place is ready, and you can then decide whether to subscribe. We may open places in batches, so we can't promise a date. You can ask us to remove your reservation at any time by emailing us or replying to any email we send.

4. Price and payment

VoltVoice costs £9.99 a year. The price shown on our website when you subscribe is the price you pay for your first year, and it includes VAT where VAT applies. You pay by card, through our payment provider Stripe, at the start of each subscription year.

If we change the price, we'll email you at least 30 days before your next renewal. The new price only applies from your next renewal, and you can cancel before then if you don't want to continue.

5. Renewal and reminders

Your subscription renews automatically each year so the service doesn't stop unexpectedly. We'll email you a reminder at least 14 days before each renewal, telling you the price and how to cancel. If you don't want it to renew, cancel before the renewal date and you won't be charged again.

6. Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel at any time. Email hello@voltvoice.co.uk or use the cancel option in your account once it's available. Cancelling stops your subscription renewing. You keep VoltVoice until the end of the year you've paid for, and we won't charge you again.

14-day cooling-off period. You can cancel within 14 days of your first payment, and within 14 days of each annual renewal payment, and we'll refund that payment in full. You don't need to give a reason. The law would let us keep something for the days you've already used, but we won't.

If you cancel after the 14 days, we don't refund the rest of the year, except where section 7 or section 8 applies or where the law says we must.

We'll refund using the card you paid with, within 14 days of agreeing a refund.

7. If VoltVoice doesn't work as it should

We'll provide VoltVoice with reasonable care and skill, and it will match the description on our website. If it doesn't, tell us and we'll try to put it right. If we can't fix it within a reasonable time, you can cancel and we'll refund you for the part of the year affected. This doesn't affect your legal rights; for advice, contact Citizens Advice.

Please keep in mind:

8. Services we rely on

VoltVoice depends on services run by Tesla and Google, which we don't control. If they change, interrupt or withdraw what VoltVoice uses, some features may stop working for a while or for good. We'll tell you if that happens. If we can no longer provide VoltVoice at all, we'll refund the unused part of your subscription year.

We may sometimes need to pause VoltVoice briefly for maintenance, security or updates. We'll try to keep this short and, where we can, tell you in advance.

9. Your account and fair use

Keep your login details safe and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. Please don't misuse VoltVoice: for example, don't try to break into it, overload it, copy or resell it, or connect systems you're not allowed to use.

If you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, we may suspend or end your subscription. We'll tell you why first, unless we need to act straight away to protect the service or other customers. If we end your subscription for any other reason, we'll refund the unused part of your year.

10. Your information

Our privacy notice explains what information we collect and how we use it. When you connect your Tesla account, we'll ask for your consent under our Tesla data consent, which follows the minimum terms Tesla requires of apps that use its systems. If you leave, we delete your energy data and Tesla access within 30 days.

11. Our responsibility to you

If we break these terms or don't use reasonable care and skill, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that was a foreseeable result. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it was obvious it would happen, or if we both knew it might happen when you subscribed. We're not responsible for loss or damage that isn't foreseeable.

VoltVoice is for household use. We're not responsible for business losses, such as lost profit or business interruption.

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.

12. Changes to VoltVoice or these terms

We may update VoltVoice and these terms to improve the service, to reflect changes from Tesla or Google, or for legal or security reasons. If a change significantly affects you, we'll email you at least 30 days before it takes effect, unless we need to act sooner for legal or security reasons. If you don't accept a significant change, you can cancel and we'll refund the unused part of your year.

13. Questions and complaints

If you're unhappy with anything, email hello@voltvoice.co.uk. We aim to reply within five working days and to sort things out quickly. If we can't resolve a complaint, you can get independent advice from Citizens Advice, and you can also take a claim to court.
